Love to sometihng you can't touch, simply put it is like air, oxygen , perhaps an entity... Wrong I maybe but my opinions must differ to those of another as we all share differences of opinion, but when you are '' in '' love it is said that you '' connect ''with your ''opposite'' . Wrong choice of vocab maybe ?
Finally, is it possible to '' breathe '' love , in a manner of speaking..

Well to me, Love is a feeling, so yes I believe we could really define love as a feeling... I mean when I fell in love with this one person, this person made me feel things that I could not explain... Like I would always wake up happy, and proud everyday... I would do things that I would never do, why because the feeling of love gave me something to live for... To be loved or to love, is the greatest thing that God has ever given us... It's a feeling inside that no one can bare to describe... I really don't know how to put this, but to me it's just the bestest feeling in the world... I guess in order to actually understand it, you have to feel it within you... Saying you love someone in a way is a different story and in another it does relates to how a person feels... I mean you can say you love them, but in reality, just like them... But than again if you feel that you love them, and you know that he/she is the one that you love, and that keeps you living than that's love... So yes you can...

I think you have to define love as a feeling because it isn't a substance, tangible or otherwise. It's not something in and of the universe, it's a human condition, between two individuals- animal or human, attachment seems clear in most species- and develops in the presence of feelings...like trust, and commitment and friendship. It isn't always there like oxygen. I think the descriptions of love you've given are fairly romantic and novel-like so I won't comment on those, that's a personal choice of how to operationalise love. I think that it is definitely a feeling, if for no other reason than you can only feel it, you cannot "prove" its presence the way you can "prove" the presence of oxygen.

Short answer: God is love(1).
Slightly longer answer: Love is when you lay down your life for your neighbor(2).
More detailed answer: Love has a life of its own, something you want to treat with respect regardless of what does or doesn't happen with the one you love. But can we touch it? Can we define it? Probably not. We can give examples though:
Love is when you have made all those little choices to 'love your neighbor as yourself', and all of a sudden after a while you find you've got a huge soft spot for him in your heart, and you suddenly notice he's handsome, and then...
Love is when you wait until you're ready for a permanent relationship before doing anything that will bind you together permanently.
Love is when you give for the joy of giving. Period.
Love is when you marry because you believe that there's something you will be able to do together, and maybe already are doing it, and you'll be able to do it better if you marry.
Love is when he's rejected your marriage proposal, you sometimes don't even dare dream of 'being with him' anymore - and you don't feel the need to 'make yourself move on'. You are happy with your life.
Love is when, when you're with him, you're so happy to be with the one you love that you forget the hard things he's said to you.
In other words, love is when he's in your heart, but you don't 'have to have him' - but neither do you 'have to move on'. You love him because you choose to.
Or to put it another way, it may feel like you are breathing love because of his presence in your heart, but if he disappears from your life, you will not thereby stop breathing...
