Of course. The Cat is heavier than the Toast, so counteracts the effect of the Butter-side-down Effect.
An experiment like this has been proposed before. It was established that gluing the butter side of the toast to the cat's paws would cause the combination (technical name: catatoast) to defy the effects of gravity until the cat had licked all the butter from the toast, when it would return home (feline boomerang effect).

No, it will just hover there in mid-air, turning over and over, so what you have to do is first connect a shaft with a pulley and belt to the cat, then you can hook up a generator to it and get free electricity from perPETual motion!
