A fruit is actually the sweet, ripened ovary or ovaries of a seed-bearing plant. A vegetable, in contrast, is an herbaceous plant cultivated for an edible part (seeds, roots, stems, leaves, bulbs, tubers, or nonsweet fruits). So, to be really nitpicky, a fruit could be a vegetable, but a vegetable could not be a fruit.
The Nutriquest team offers a similar answer, adding that most fruits are sweet because they contain a simple sugar called fructose, while most vegetables are less sweet because they have much less fructose. The sweetness of fruit encourages animals to eat it and thereby spread the seeds. The site also presents an interesting list of fruits that are often thought to be vegetables:

tomatoes
cucumbers
squashes and zucchini
avocados
green, red, and yellow peppers
peapods
pumpkins

Both fruits and vegetables grow on trees/ plants and under groung. Some plants it self is a vegetables. Normally fruits are eaten in its original form. Some fruits like sweet potatoes which grow underground need to be cooked.
On the other hand vegetables more often cooked and eaten. Sometimes they are earen raw, in the form of salads.

Its to do with the location of the seeds. In fruit the seeds are in or on the fruit, definitely not inside vegetables though. (tomato is actually a fruit.!) Vegetables tend to 'go to seed' whereas fruit don't. Also strawberries grow on the ground.

A fruit is what a plant make in order to be eaten by animals so they throw seeds somewhere and a new plant grows. Understeand fruit as a atractive thing plants make so you eat them and you throw seeds as you ****. Vegetals are everything other parts of the plant.

A tomato is, strictly speaking, a fruit even though most of us consider it a vegetable because we like to sprinkle it with salt, never sugar.
A fruit provides nourishment for the next generation, therefor a nut is also a fruit be we do not consider it as such because it is not soft and juicy.

Vegetables change their form to fruits next. But Fruits do not change into vegetables.
Fruits are soft, sweet, pleasant smelling, bear seeds. Vegetables hard, taste different, mostly cooked and then consumed .
