There is the old hypothesis that you are nothing more than a brain in a bell jar and nothing more. You have no body and no real experiences, everything is being fed into your brain. So you think you have a body and a soul and a belief in a God. But you are nothing more than a brain in a bell jar. How do you disprove this thought? Proving there is a soul is just the same. You could also look at some other things like the cave - where you are kept in a cave and your only thought about life is what you see in that cave. There is a fire that provides you with light and warmth. But you cannot see the sun or moon or anything else. Now someone gets free and sees the world outside the cave and tries to convince people that there is life outside the cave. How can he convince these people to come with him? Or you could consider the story of people who believe in God and they put all their trust in God and faith that they have a soul and that this soul is going to heaven. Then you have the other group that doesn't believe in anything. When you die there is nothing, the 2nd group was right, but what did they win? Or you die and the 1st group was right and they win eternal life.

Every one has their own beliefs. Whether they are correct is another point. But when every human being dies their soul will live on. If you believe in God,and are saved your soul goes on to heaven. If not it goes to a place of eternal seperation from God. Known as hell. The bible tells and explains about the soul. It won't hurt you to read it. Here are some verses you can look up.Ecclesiastes 3:11, Ecclesiastes6-7 tells about your soul returning to God. Matthew 10: 28 tells about the body being destroyed , not the soul. I know I have a soul because God gives me such joy in my heart that I know my soul is real and going to be with him.

By living, thinking and loving! Your soul is what makes you distinct if there were not souls while we would still look different we would all be the same. It is what makes you who you are. Those who deny it's existence only show their own ignorance.

The definition of soul to me is that we are able to think, make our own decisions and care for the others. Which makes us different from the other animals. But we also have better thing in us, that is spirit, in which we can praise the God who creates us. Bless you.

Look into the eyes of a well loved child ...... THEN
Look into the eyes of an abused child ........ the soul is missing.
Hence, something missing has to exist to be missing in the first place.

We can't. Souls don't exist. Brains exist, which in turn, think up the ridiculous concept of "souls" existing.
