Eagles pretty much live anywhere, mostly you are going to find them in the woods or mountains. They do prefer to live near lakes where they search for their food. Since they are so big they dont have much of a problem living where ever they want to. We have a pair of Eagles that live in the trees right next to a small lake. We run a rescue center and I had a lady one day call me to report the Eagles to me. I asked her are they injured? she said no they are just sitting in the trees, then I asked her what did she want me to do because I didnt understand why she was calling me. She said she didnt feel that it was right that they are living there since it is so close to a city. I told her not to worry about it because they have the right to live where they are at, if they didn't like it there then they would have not come there to live.
I feel it is an honor that we have that par up the road from us, if anything about the phone call I got, I was happy to know this so I can keep an eye out on my Parrots when I have them outside. My parrots will let me know if there is something in the sky that is scaring them, and I know an Eagle will attack a Parrot sitting alone outside.

Bald eagles resides in North America, from Alaska and Canada to northern Mexico near swamps, lakes, oceans and rivers where there are lots of fish, clean waters, and tall trees for nesting and roosting. They live strictly in North America and every state except for Hawaii. The northwest coast of North America is where the flourish most, partly because of the salmon—dead or dying fish are an important part of their food supply. In 1996, more than 40 were observed wintering along the Columbia River north of the Hanford townsite. Thousands live in Alaska and other parts of the Pacific Northwest, the Great Lakes region, and Chesapeake Bay. They also inhabit Florida and along Atlantic coastline. They thrive in quiet isolation.

In Britain, the vast majority of the eagle population is to be found in the western Scottish Highlands. Fish eagles (aka ospreys) are spread out over a wider area (though again mainly in Scotland).

depends on what kind of eagle. the bald eagle (my personal favorite and the most beautiful) lives mostly in large trees where they build huge nest platforms out of branches. their natural habitat includes most of north america including most of canada. since they are endangered they can only be found in small concentrations along large bodies of water.
