This may sound gross,but the reason the mouth is at the bottom of this chain is because if anything comes out of the nose or eyes and goes into the mouth even though it may be gross it will not kill you.On the other hand if the mouth were at the top and something came out of it(such as food when eating) and went into the nose or eye it could be very damaging.

The eyes are on top so you can see a little higher and they are spread apart so you can tell distance. The ears on on the side so you can tell direction and listen in stereo.
The nose is above the mouth because your food passes under it. The tongue recognizes about 5 different tastes, the nose picks up all the rest.

natural evolution i suppose-eye's highest for broader field of vision-nose above mouth to smell food where there is no light to see what your eating,with teeth well placed to protect vital breathing passages and eye's,ear's to detect anything approaching from side's or behind that may not be in your field of vision all perfectly placed for survival ! such a shame they for got to insert a brain in your head to help you with the thought you put into this question-sorry mate i get sick of saying this but read your guidelines to the bottom where it give's the examples of question's not to ask ! this is not a chat site,your stats are there for all to read-how do you want to be seen in the eye's of others,it's up to you.x

you really need to find a new hobby. i think you have to much on your mind maybe you should start reading some science books.i would like the answer to this if there is one so good luck with it.i am not trying to be rude or anything so please don't take this the wrong way i think it's cool you are so inquisitive and i am looking forward to your next ?
