Yes a few years ago my friends set me up on a blind date with a guy.

He was alot like lurch from the adams family. He had hypnotizing eyes which looked like they were spinning in his head and a forehead you could land a jumbo jet on.

I was horrified and didnt know how to gently tell him I wasnt interested, so I gave him a go with a few extra dates. My grandfather got to meet him and asked me am I blind??? and Whats wrong with my eyes and my head??

He was the biggest feral. He turned up on my doorstep one day and began bringing furniture through my front doors, I asked him what the hell hes doing and he said my lounge was wrecked so he had one spare that I could use. Then I noticed him and his mate carting his bed in. I thought oh sh*t no. I told him he couldnt stay with me but he kept bringing the furniture in. He said you could do with a hand around here. I can help by mowing the lawn for you etc.

I didnt know what to say, I was dumbfounded. He never once got off his backside to mow the lawn or help. I had to look after him like a child. He was a mummys boy.

He would go play football and come home full of mud, slosh and stink and climb into bed and sleep without showering, he never did his teeth and he watched me make my lunch (using frozen bread) to take to work on the breakfast bar and would plug his razor in the wall and begin shaving his wiskers all over the breakfast bar while my sandwich was thawing.

To get rid of him I said are you up to date with phrases?? I had to tell him if you love something set it free. I said ok Robert I love you so much I am setting you free ok. I said your mums old and she needs taking care of, you need to be there for her. She misses you terribly and I cant live with myself knowing that. After 2 months of having to put up with him, when I told him that he was gone as quick as he arrived.

Thank the Lord :)) I tell you never again. Any friend mentions the phrase blind date and I bolt. lol

Yes I have been on a blind date, but the experience wasn't that good. I didn't like the guy that showed up and all we had was just having a drink together and that was it. I didn't see him anymore.

When I was in college I went on a blind date. I ended up marrying her. The marriage ended in divorce 5 yrs later and she stole all my money. True story. Was it a good blind date or a bad one? Is the glass half full or half empty? We had some good times.

As a teenager, I reluctantly went on a blind date...a double date with a friend of mine. He didn't speak a word of English, nor I of Spanish, but we hit it off anyway. Over time we taught each other quite a bit of the other's language. He turned out to be my first real love and we were together for several years.

2 of my girlfriends fixed me up on a blind date. The terrible section about it become that the guy become extremely blind. He had taken it heavily about the date and my "acquaintances" were making the finished component a nasty comic tale. I felt so undesirable about it yet we went out lower back and easily had a very tremendous time. We both realized that it does no longer bypass everywhere yet proceed to be acquaintances.

YES...quite a few.
It's a good time as long as you have no expectations and you look at it as simply making a new friend.

I stay sociable. I stay up beat and happy - ask questions that encourage her to talk about herself and I remain interested.

It's nerve wracking for her too, so I might as well make it fun.

Remember, blind dates have friends...if there's no chemistry but you're still an upbeat, no-pressure, positive guy...she might find just the right friend for you.

She was visiting from Italy, couldn't speak English, so we were silent all night. On the way home from Belle Isle in Detroit we stopped at a light and a car load of Deetroiters were kicking my car and punching us through the open windows, luckely I had $20.00 handy and gave it to them and they went away. She went back to Italy soon after.

Yes. I married him 37 years ago!!! And I still adore him!!! I think that it's so difficult to meet people to date, that you have to be open to anything. You make it just for coffee or drinks. If you don't like each other, so what? So you've wasted an hour? It's worth it. Good luck.
