You're taking a break in a new town, from college. You're hoping to cultivate your prior study. A co-worker approaches you and says "All my friends think I'm crazy 'cause I smoke pot one day and race bikes the next day." The co-worker is someone that you reported some weeks earlier for possibly being unconvential or racially biased. Should you report the co-worker to management ?

What would I do?
I never report co-workers to management.
Ever.
That's someone's job that you are talking about.
It's not right to mess with a man's job.

Hey! Mr Goodie Two Shoes-get a clue! You reported a co-worker? Why would you do a thing like that? Are you a communist? If the guy is a waste of space, he will get canned. If he is a valued employee, then turning him in makes YOU look like a loser. If the dope is a productive member of the staff at McDonald's or Chucky Cheese or whatever....let him be.
Good golly-I am glad you don't work at my company.

I would stay out of it, and let the co worker hang himself by his own behavior. People like this give themselves away in the long run. By staying out of it, you dont get yourself labeled as a "tattletale". nor do you wind up as a target when the co worker gets fired from his job.

No. The more we point out what we PERCEIVE to be flaws in others, the more risk we have of losing our own freedoms in the future. Live and let live. Unless the guy murders somebody, who are you to judge his life ? Mind your own business. Reporting people for idiotic ideals simply proves that you have no life !

Why would you report this person to management unless you are working in a place that specifically prohibits the use of drugs, i.e., subject to urinalysis.
Report him/her to the police. That's were you report illegal activities.

Well hello Big Brother. What's your field of study, KGB? Are you employed just to spy and report on employee's? Do your job, let management do theirs...On their own.

you're in a new town on break from college, likely if you want to make it back there in good health...you'll leave your co-worker alone...just trying to help.

Yes, I think so. But do keep in mind that he/she may try to get back at you if they find out that you are the one who keeps on reporting them.

Let it go. Your co-worker is obviously a slacker already and he'll get what's coming to him eventually.

No. That's not enough to report. If his activities are interfering with his work somebody will notice.
