i know this guy and he invites me to his house on saturdays to watch movies and he tells me that if something happens with us that is cool but if nothing does that is cool to and i agreed with him but now he is telling my best friends botfriend that he just wants to be friends, but yet he acts so different when other people are around and when i asked him straight out if we were just friends he will never answer...i am confused. he said that is all he wants to be but the first night i was there he said if we had protection we would have down it and now he is different towards me.why? i asked if it was a commitment issue or if he was scared and he wont answer. what do i do? he said he is not sure how to feel and i was told he is very timid so how do i get him to answer my questions without offending him...please i need help badly.

okay first guy are nerves around female. and scared. They are like children. They want the cookies in the cookie jar and he gets closer and closer and then stops when he is close and looks around and listen and then go for it. Guy act like that. They get brave to ask you out, but then when someone pressure him he would change his tune because he doesn't what his friend to know that he likes you in case you turn him down it is a way to save face with friends. What he want is what he tells you but, everyone else is a smoke screen. So take your cue from him, So what i am saying is the landing light are on and your the plane that must come in for the landing.

why even bother with such a fickle person? Nobody deserves to be played with. If you truly care stop it now and you will get over it in time. Trust! You will hurt for a while but it will be for only one time. If you continue with this child, It will become a pattern. You will hurt several times. As hard as it may be, nip it in the bud. Sometimes, we get confused and sometimes you women confuse us. Maybe he's not sure about what you wanted i.e. sex etc., I know the feeling, I get these mixed signals from gf...and now when I act a little less intimate, there is a problem, but I'm only going with what she wants, so maybe thats how he felt and maybe he wanted things to go further but it was something you said or did...

I get negative vibes from this - I cannot explain it - my first reaction was to say that maybe he is simply confused - and doesn't know what he wants. However, since he won't communicate with you and answer your questions, then I don't see that as a good sign. It is up to you, but I feel that he is not worth being with if he cannot or won't be honest with you about his feelings.
Maybe he is the type of man who doesn't mind one night stands, but as he gets to know the girl, then he is less inclined to be physical with her. He might even prefer a friend with benefits, but of course, that is up to you. If you want more than sex, then you should try to find a man who is more open and honest with you and who isn't afraid of expressing how he feels.

perhaps you are also giving mixed signals. Perhaps he thinks you will take a hint, and get closer to him, but you do not act, and, he is thinking you do not like him.
Some guys are somewhat shy, and if you wait till he makes his move, he might be frozen, and, he needs your initiative, to proceed.
