Bullies can be pretty rambunctious for a long time. Usually they start to settle down around two years old, but I've seen eight year olds that would go nuts at the sight of a skateboard or another dog. I'd suggest you do more training - especially control work like sit-stay and down-stay. That way, you can reward her for calm, controlled behavior.

Make sure she's getting plenty of exercise, but be careful she doesn't get overheated or overdo it - Bulldogs can collapse and die on a hot day.

You should read some great books on training. (Try not to pick books randomly - there are a lot of bad books out there also!) These are some of my favorites and you can get them on Amazon.com

Training Your Dog: The Step by Step Method - Volhard
What All Good Dogs Should Know - Volhard
Good Owners, Great Dogs - Brian Kilcommins
Dog Tricks : Eighty-Eight Challenging Activities for Your Dog from World-Class Trainers by Haggerty and Benjamin
Don't Shoot the Dog - Pryor
Training Your Dog: The Step by Step Method - Volhard

Also, watch the Dog Whisperer on the National Geographic Channel. Cesar Millan is the best trainer I've ever seen on TV.

They're big babies, aren't they? Ha! She should begin to settle some soon. I would say by the time she is three, but it differs a bit from dog to dog. It's a gradual thing, but all of a sudden you'll wonder why all she does is lay there all the time.

Good luck to you! You have a wonderful little dog...
