Well nobody else has given this answer so I might as well do it!
My hair and nails grew faster than normal while I was pregnant!

The hormonal changes pregnancy brings (may )make hair thicker and more lustrous. Both your hair and nails (may) grow faster.

cut em before they get too long. that is the cure for that problem. or stop eating food.
