can zoloft interact with marijuana or make it stop working, ive heard other people say yes but with no drug experience or nowledge whatsoever and i have heard of people who have mixed it and have reported nothing im still confused, is their any body with experience on this subject

hi, i used to work in a drug rehab clinic for youth! well of corse hash can effect zoloft and other way around....as far as i know zoloft is prescribed for people who have panic attacks and anxiety! well i just can tell u, that i have worked with kids and youth who got panic attackts due to hash!!!!!i know its says hash makes u calm and stuff and usually it is that way but if you tend to get panic attacks and stuff, you shouldnt smoke it!!! in my oppinion, you shouldnt smoke it anyways, but its even more dangerous if you u already got any kind of disorders....both, zoloft and hash effect the brain and both effect about the same part of the brain and both effect receptor's in your brain! i even know youth who got psychoses due to hash. well hash is not the only reason u get a psychosis, there has to be some other factors too, but if as i said if you got a mental disorder anyways and taking zoloft you would be bloody stupid to smoke hash! and everyone who says something else would be just as stupid!!!!its difficult to tell u in englsih how that all works, as i am german. but i tried my best lol

You might try the NORML (National Orginization for the Reform of Marijuana Laws) website. They have lots of info. there about pot and other drugs.

Did you know that marijuana can bring on pychosis - so if you are already taking zoloft that means your body is more susceptable to pyschosis thru marijuana. don't risk it

cannabis is unlikely to react with zoloft either to deactivate it or synergize to make it stronger. It does however affect your mental state and if you are already having problems with that, you may want to be careful with it just for that reason.
