When a man goes bald, shouldnt he lose all his ability to grow hair?
Or does baldness not affect hair growth on the face? (or, for that matter, other body hair?)
If baldness only affects the hair on top of the head, why is this?

Listen up my man. I was 12 when I started growing a beard. 4 black hairs showed up under my chin and man! was I stoked about it. By the time I was 15 I had a full beard and was loving every bit of it. I also had myself a big afro. I kept it nice. I had it until I went into the U.S.M.C. After I did my time I got to growing the hair again bur when I was 22 I was in my crib in Frezno looking in the mirror while trimming the beard and guess what. I saw a small recession at the center front of my hairline. I knew it would not stop and over the years it has gradually gone away. I now have a bit of a smooth top of which I have no hangups about. I still look good bald or not. So if this helps with your questions about balldness and beards great. I personally have never been hung up about it to really ask. I have seen dudes who did the transplant thing and it looked weird to me and besides I didn't want someone messing with my head doing what I feel is unnatural. Regards and have a safe day, Ammo

Ehm..
Millions of people all over the world are affected by hair loss, and it's not only the males that suffer this condition as even females are affected by this problem. What's sad is that many of the individuals affected by such a condition end up just accepting what is happening to their hair due to lack of information or options.

I recognize a man that has a patch on his face wherein facial hair does not develop in any respect. Its like a bald patch on his chin, and it appears humorous whilst he hasn't shaved in a at the same time :). I've in no way heard of humans developing beards after which it simply falls out. :/
