I want to impress my mom with a unique spread that I can put on bread, like jam or butter. I want something classy, you know, to show her I'm refined for my 26 years of age. Any suggestions?

Tapinade is really yummy. You can find a recipe online or buy it at a gourmet food store. If you have a Trader Joe's then you can for sure get it there.
Lemon Curd is really good on crumpets or english muffins.
You can also look gourmet by lightly broiling flour tortillas (cut into triangles) that are brushed with a butter and cinnamon mixture and then served with a cream cheese frosting...yuuuummm!

It's not sweet like jam. But here's a good recipe. A can of chichi beans (garbonzo) and a clove (or two) or garlic. A few good tablespoons of olive oil. About a teaspoon of salt. Blend together in a blender or food processor. And you can spread it (kinda dip it too) on bagels or crackers or toasted bread. Very good. The concept of hummus, but a completely different taste.
