Why do Liberals and Democrats think ony Conservatives and Republicans are Christians. Can you be a Democrat and still be a Christian?

I am a Christian Democrat and I am against abortion,same sex marriages and such. I don't know why liberals and democrats think that way. You can be both.

Well, since 80% of the country self-identifies as christian, and half the voting population is democrat, it's a good chance that there's a whole heck of a lot of democrats who are christians.
Actually, all the christians I hang with are democrats.

Yes it is possible but because of the stances that the democratic party takes on many of its " key" issues ( I use this term loosely I have yet to find a democrat that can even tell me what the party stands for anymore) It kinda contradicts being a Christian.

Yes, you can be a Christian and a Democrat. You just have to have the mind set of non-judgement and understand the rites of free will, humility, compassion, forgiveness etc. etc..

It would be very hard for the two to go hand in hand. On things like abortion where Democratics claim it isn't murder and so many other things. I'm sure there are some, but it would be rare.

I am a Christian and an ex-democrat. They drove me off with all their anti-Christian behaviors and policies.
