Admiration is the extremity of like.
l know that someone admires me not just like - because he is cray about me, and wants me with every thing

to LIKE means to find pleasant and attractive
to ADMIRE means to regard with pleasure, wonder, and approval.
so a there is a difference between liking and admiring
