How do you know if a guy just wants to hook up with you or if he's actually interested in something more?

Hard to say without having more information. Does he have a rep as being a manwhore? If so, than he probably just wants a booty call.
Does he want to take you places, meet his friends and family, or only want to meet up with you in private and after last call when the bars have closed? If it is the latter, he is just looking for someone to get his freak on with.
If you had a friend or relative pass away, would he be there for you and support you by going to the funeral with you? If not, you don't want him for anything more than booty call either.
Does he just want to party with you or does the guy ask and care about your thoughts and feelings and want to share his with you? Now if you can sit down and have a real conversation with you without getting busy, it is a surefire way to let you know that he is interested in something more, but he may not be ready for it and you might just have to give it time and be patient.

Play hard to get and look for clues to see what he is all about. Get to know him weather you hook up or not. My motto he will eiter slip up or show you up...what i mean is he will show you that he is just wantin sum or he will show you you were wrong for thinking that....God Bless and good luck I hope it turns out how you want and hope this helps

If his conversation is of a sexual nature......and not on wanting to just take you out to a show, out to eat or concert (for example)... If he is not asking you about your likes or dislikes.....Then he just wants to hook up with you sexually, and that's it!! Beware, be careful, be smart!!
