i have one of the best boyfriends you could ask for. he is considerate and caring. the other day he said "i love you" for the first time and i just dont know if when guys say i love you if they mean it or if they are just saying it because they think it is the righ thing to say.

it depends... all you can do is trust him. if your relationship cannot have enough trust in it that you cannot belive that he means it when he says that he loves you then u better work on it or just move on because a relationship is nothing w/o trust

well if a guy said "i love u " from out of the blues then u should not believe it because maybe he was dared 2 do so (guys are mostly dared 2 do such stuff by their friends) but if u r bf said he loves u 4 the 1st time then u should believe it. But again he could hv said that 2 hide something (maybe he did something behind ur back) or 2 hv sex with u (if u havent had)!

That's not a fair question, that's like asking if women mean what they say. It all depends on the person, not the gender. You're best bet, would be to ask him you're self. Ask him if he really means it. Tell him to really think before he answers because saying you love someone is not something to be thrown around.

Why do girls over-analyze a guys actions. If he tells you this then it must be true. What more can he do to say that he loves you other than to ACTUALLY say I love you. Just take it for what it is hun and stay out of your head and step into your heart. When you do things like this it will make your bf feel like you don't trust him. Trust is HIGHLY important.

A persons actions , behaviour speak more loudly than what he speaks. You can not expect everybody speaking truth only. You will have to decide on the babis of his behaviour, action, sincereness, your past experience with him what he means. If you are new to him then to be on safer side take his remark lightly. Remember, love does not need words to express itself. It can be expressed throgh actions, care, sharing emotions, supporting in bad times etc.

They really mean what they say we know guy they are serious ones when it comes ti this matter they are the most romantic and value the relationship so much..so believe when they say that word it means they really do feel.

Guys are hard to read sometimes, If they're a "historical guy" then they mean it. If they're someone like me, they can tell you whatever you want to hear, know you want to hear it and make sure what they say is something you like. chances are though, you can read him.

Did he want something or just say it out of the blue. If it was spontaneous I would believe it. If he was trying to get something out of it then probably not.
