The largest bone in the human body is known as the femur. This is the bone that connects your hip and your knee. A lot of elderly people suffer fractures, (broken bones) of the hip which is the top portion of the femur bone where it goes in a socket. This socket is something like your elbow or your knee. from, Jill,R.N.
