There's good news. Jesus didn't come for flawless people, he came for sinners.
The Old Testament law, which begins with the ten commandments but includes a whole lot more, was the guideline people had before Jesus came. The Israelites offered animal sacrifices to atone for their sin, which God had commanded them to do.
The New Testament letters talk a lot about how Jesus fulfilled the law. The animal sacrifices that were offered didn't really get rid of sin, but they represented God's real plan of Jesus that hadn't happened yet.
If you try to follow all the Old Testament rules, you will fall short. But what God really wants us to do is to repent of the wrong we've done and accept that Jesus died to take our sins away. That's his real plan. That's what he really wants us to do.
Now what I've said doesn't mean it's okay to sin. It's not and should be avoided because it is bad. But if we do mess up, we have an opportunity to repent and try again.
Back to your question finally...the ten commandments are all great rules to follow. I guess I don't really know how "bad" it is to break five of them. But you can tell God you're sorry for the things you've done wrong and try to work on them from now on.

Yes, that would be an 50% or an F. If you want a good grade you have to break at least 7 (70%/C) or you don't pass and you have to repeat sunday school. Personally, I am an overachiever. I broke all 10 and I do it alot. I think we need more so I have more to break.

Is breaking 5 of your fingers really bad?? hehe
Who can keep all by their own??
U don't even know when 1 of ur fingers will break no matter how u protect them.
Keep 10 is one thing, knowin how to keep them is another.
If u think 10 OT commandments is difficult to keep, try readin Jesus' semon on the mount. Can't fight.
"I can do all things (including keep all commandments) thru Christ who strengthen me". God bless

Commandments are like laws, to be followed strictly, if you believe...!!! You break any of these laws, and you will pay.. does repenting do any good? Who did you hurt breaking these laws? How do you feel? cleansed cause you repented? Yes breaking just one commandment is bad, you broke 5... do you feel good about yourself?

The honest answer is that most people have broken the majority of the ten. St. Paul explained that the law was given to us so that we would know what sin is. We have all sinned (broken God's rules). The penalty for sin is death. Sinners deserve to go to hell. Jesus died so that we don't have to go to hell. Put your trust in Him and ask Him to change you. Ask forgiveness for your sins and ask Him to help you not to sin again. Read a Bible and learn about Him.

Breaking any commandment or disobeying God is sin and thats real bad. You must ask him for forgiveness and repent of all sin to be forgiven.

By my understanding of the I believe it is the Christian faith no it is not all that bad. You can ask for forgiveness and "God" will grant you the forgiveness. Unless you committed suicide then of course you would not of asked this question.
