in india, food is traditionally eaten with your bare hands...rice, lentil, veggies, meat....eaten with bare hands....because i grew up in a more liberal, modern family, we always used forks and spoons....but i love eating rice and curry with my hands...maybe now that i am in te US, people will think thats funny if i do that in public...but its still a guilty pleasure.
yes, finger foods are more than they were first inteneded to be described by that term.....but who cares?
in the end....eating with clean hands is more fun than with clean forks.
believe me.

Most anything that is not liquid based could be a finger food. I find jello cubes to be particularly interesting. Squishy lil' things. I feel a quote coming on . . . . . Julia Roberts, oh never mind, that one is about oysters.

I would say finger food is anything that can be eaten without getting this horrible sticky mess on your fingers.
...so, I'm not counting ice cream.
