Good luck. I observed what I believe to be a security problem with the Firewall; when I tried to warn other users on their forums, they removed my posting. I have had other problems with them. Personally, I have thought about talking to an attorney and seeing if we can get a class action lawsuit started. It seems that may be the only way to get their attention.

well obviously the first thing you did was to go to Add and Remove programs from the control panel and unisntall it. The next thing you should do is to restart...disable its autoprotection (if its still working somehow from the taskbar)....then go to the original installation folder....its usually under C/Program files..Just delete the mcafee folder from here...if you cant delete it...try deleting some files from the folder first adn then the rest of them...After this use a registry cleaner program...and clean all the mcafee registeries...this should permanently free your systems memory from this program...you can also use advanced uninstallation programs like smarty uninstaller.....they remove all traces away...the last thing to do would be to uninstall a good antivirus program like Kaspersky....its the best...... If all this does not work in the end....Just INSTALL WINDOWS AGAIN..Format your computer

You need to completely uninstall it,Go to control panel,add/remove software, click the remove change button and call McAfee and tell them you don't want it.

here is a simpler method: go to microsoft.com and install their latest version of "Windows Defender (Beta2)"
after updating its database, go to its tools - software explorer - startup programs - then terminate or disable all mcafee related services - currently running programs, and do the same.
go to program files, and see if you can now delete the folders. then restart your pc.
good luck!
