They love to cuddle and they are soft. They clean up after themselves unlike dogs. They purr. They catch mice, squirrels, snakes and other critters that no one cares to have around their home. They are beautiful. They are playful and don't stink.

I have 10. It used to be 19 but they have gradually begun to die off. Began as adoption service and people returned them so I just kept them. My oldest is 16. The oldest my cats seem to live is 16-17 years. Cats are such curious, intelligent, naughty and affectionate creatures. The cats live in a specially made cat area which is made of garden cloth, galvanized screws, and treated lumber. The demensions for the long running areas are 18"x 18".
This is so they can run freely outside and watch the wiildlife but not harm it and can go in/out of the house anytime they want. They have 2 outside shelter areas also to stay dry if they stay outside. Spaying/neutering helps them all get along pretty well.

A relationship with a cat is much more rewarding than with a dog.
You can treat a dog abhorrently and it will love you regardless - that's the sign of an unhinged halfwit.
A cat on the other hand, only sees humans as a food source. If you want them to engage with you, then you have to offer them a more even handed relationship. In return they pay you the biggest compliment by not leaving, by playing and allowing themselves to be subjected to all sorts of indignities, but only ever on their terms.
In my own experience I find people who have internal confidence and self belief, but are natural loners are usually cat lovers, while social people who require unconditional adoration tend to be dog lovers.
There are exceptions, of course.

Because they give you the satisfaction and of having a pet which is de-stressing, compainionship and relaxation. More than all this it also is an amazing pet for working people as it is quiet independent, it is virtually like having best of both worlds. I'm a dog lover myself but I still appreciate the charms of a Cat.

I think it goes way back in our past to have an affinity with cats just as many many people have a deep rooted fear of snakes, probably never having seen one for real, so maybe its in our genes?

I love cats, especially large cats. My favourite is the tiger. In ancient Egypt they worshiped cats.

Because cats are cool ... and yes therapuetic. A cats purr is so soothing & when you own and know your cat, they are very loving and affectionate. They love cuddles.

Why do lots of girls like soldiers so much?

She was little afraid of us first couple of days, now she comes everyday to play with us, and to sleep top of the stairs. thats her favourite sleeping spot. she likes when me and my boyfried sit together stroking her head while she's sleeping. she soo good cat. hasnt scratched leather sofas yet. she'll hug you by putting her side face against your body.
