Steven Raichlen, who has many grilling cookbooks, offers lots of usable tips and advice in his books, and offers a very thorough guide to cooking complete meals on the grill. His culinary influences are broad, and so he goes beyond Traditional American cuisine (i.e. chicken and ribs), and often adapts well-known dishes to grill preparations.
