I just saw an article today in the paper that said men's sexual preference is decided before birth. I did not read the whole article...but if a baby comes out of the womb and sees good window treatments he is gay...just kidding. I dont think you should categorize that evil is done by most straight people and good by gays. I have seen a little of both from both sides... I don't think sexual preference has anything to do with the good that you do- that is an individual thing that comes from the heart not your groin. Just be happy with who you are and if you think you were born gay then so be it. Why is important to debate it? You will never change other opinions who are homophobic.

Homosexuality is a sin and you are that way because you chose to be that way. You love a man but you love the wrong man, you need to fall in love with the man that can set you free from this sin Jesus Christ. God said all have come short there is no big or little sin sin is sin, whether one is straight or gay. A man laying up with another man, both of you have the same sex organs there is no way God ever intended for such an act as this to be. If that's the case God would have made a world with man only. The same goes for a woman laying up with another woman. This weigh is very unbalance and the scales have tilted over. There is no good in this but God will balance it out.

Genetic versus environmental. No one (and I mean no one) has that answer.
1 Cor 10:23-24. With emphasis on verse 24.
Same sex relationships are condemned in the bible, specially in Lev. and Deut. as well as in some Epistles. Not the homosexual and/or bisexual, but the relationship.
We were not "created to balance out good and evil", we make choices between them. Since heterosexual are the largest group within the population, they would have the most of .
I don't believe the gender preference is basic for good or bad behavior.
Fortunately, God makes the call, not man.
Good luck.

Actually for the majority of homosexuals it is a choice. Very few are born that way. Never the less God loves us all. And you should not be judged by others. You are what you are.
All people are inherently good no matter what their sexual preference is.
Don't you think making statements like this is actually promoting hatred towards you and other homosexuals? Maybe keeping quiet and just living your life instead of pounding your sexuality in everyones faces would cause you less dislike from others.

I don't think thats the case really... Not at all.
Gay people are not less or more good or evil than anyone else... there just less of them.
The people that do the truely bad things are few and being that there less people that are gay there less gay people doing truely bad things.
Just a fact of numbers....
Granted gay people tend to be more open minded and have better morals...... there are some realy nasty and mean gays out there still... some that do some horable things.

I think it is ignorant and inciting to say that straights are evil and gays are good. There is light and dark everywhere. I also believe that people are born to love. Same sex or not, it's all about the love. AND, while I am here, I think it is ludicrous to kill in the name of a higher power. I can not believe that something that created souls would want life taken in it's name (terrorists, pro lifers and anyone else that says "God/Allah/Mohammad/Grand Dragon says you must die").

My thought on that is. You gay people think your so much better than everyone. And I can sincerely say that cause my roommate is gay and I'm around you guys all the time. I agree that you are born that way and its nothing you can help. But you should really get off your high horse.

I see each living thing, both seen and unseen, as a creation of God.
I believe deeds of good will toward humanity and the earth speak loudly to God. Sexual preference does not hinder one's honest selfless efforts toword harmony and balance ... nor does sexuality make those kindnesses any less or any greater.
To be honest with you, the only people I've judged on their sexuality, are the women I've slept with. (Right on!)

Sure, most gays are decent people. Most child molesters are straight males. Alot of christian conservatives will never accept that you were born gay. They think its a choice and therefore you actively rebel against society and are even proud of your rebellion. This puts you in the same category as biker gangs, in their eyes.

If your going to include God in your question then you need to include what God says about homosexual behaviour. We must start with God's Word, not the word of finite, fallible man.
"Therefore God gave them over in the sinful desires of their hearts to sexual impurity for the degrading of their bodies with one another. They exchanged the truth of God for a lie, and worshiped and served created things rather than the Creator-who is forever praised, Amen.
Because of this, God gave them over to shameful lusts. Even their women exchanged natural relations for unnatural ones. In the same way the men also abandoned natural relations with women and were inflamed with lust for one another. Men committed indecent acts with other men, and received in themselves the due penalty for their perversion.
Furthermore, since they did not think it worthwhile to retain the knowledge of God, he gave them over to a depraved mind, to do what ought not be done." Romans 1:24-28
Another verse that cuts straight to the heart...
"But among you there must not be even a hint of sexual immorality, or of any kind of impurity." Ephesians 5:3
The reason for my response is this,
"Those who oppose him he must gently instruct, in the hope that God will grant them repentance leading them to a knowledge of the truth, and that they will come to their senses and escape from the trap of the devil, who has taken them captive to do his will." 2 Timothy 2:25
And mentioned in another post. Jay has been misled into believing that we are good. We are not good. God tells us this.
As it is written, "There is no one righteous, not even one; there is no one who understands, no one who seeks God. All have turned away, they have together become worthless; there is no one who does good, not even one." Romans 3:10-12
