It is a "personal" shower but I don't know her that well and do NOT want to buy her underwear, bras or lingerie! So any other ideas will help. It is both of their second marriages and both are in their early 40's.

Hi!,how about a gift certificate to a store like Victoria's Secret , you wouldn't really be giving her lingerie, since she will make the final choice, and they have many items other than lingerie to chose from!, another good choice would be a pamper basket, like a bath robe, slippers, loofah and vanilla lotions (you really can't g wrong with vanilla); you can also get her a gift certificate for a spa treatment; There are many choices when it comes to bridal shower gifts that don’t have to be very expensive nor uncomfortably personal or tacky. sexually-related gifts should really only be given by either the host of the shower or the bride's closest friends or family members. Try thinking of the bride, and her style/taste; if you know her so little that even that takes work, then a gift certificate for a major department store will also do!; to make it extra fun, package the gift in girly-hues and add glamour touches to it, not to mention a fantastic greeting card, and you're set to go!.

Best of luck!, and have fun at the bridal shower!

Since it is the bride and groom's second marriage, more than likely they have everything they need for a house. Find out if they are registered anywhere. If they aren't a silver or crystal picture frame, a set of crystal candlestick holders, a nice crystal or glass vase, or a certificate to a cooking class (or something they can do together). If you have a Home Goods store close to you finding crystal is easy. Or you can just get a gift certificate to Lowe's or Home Depot or a department store.

How did you get invited to a "personal" shower if you don't know her that well? Is this just a blatant present thing?

Anyway, you could maybe get them a (tasteful) sex book. or maybe one of those card sets that ask questions and is supposed to bring you closer together...I bet Spencer's Gifts would have a "dirty" version if you think that would be more appropriate for the theme.

Spa gifts are always a nice gesture. It's always nice to receive something that you really like but never buy for yourself. For more gift ideas go to www.weddingstylefavors.com and click on "shower gifts" and "The Honeymooners".

First, normally bridesmaids move right into a reward in combination and rather of having her a couple of smaller models, they mix their cash to shop for one colossal object just like the pot and pan set or authentic mixer. I might ask the Maid of Honor if there's any plan like this. Second, you'll be able to consistently move the registry path. It's essentially the most ordinary and this manner you'll be able to be certain you get some thing she likes (she picked it!) and you'll be able to prefer what to spend (so much brides sign in for an collection of matters in unique rate levels). But you'll be able to consistently opt for some thing normal. You are her first-class buddy and you're a bridesmaid so are you aware of some thing she demands/needs that you'll be able to support with? One of my bridesmaids was once on the town for the bathe and that i occurred to be making a choice on up my marriage ceremony sneakers the day she was once with me. While there she sprang for the matching purse for me. It's now not some thing I might have spent cash on for myself but it surely was once some thing I cherished and now not some thing any one else might have suggestion to get for me. Does your bride have her toasting glasses, her throw garter or her cake set? As for a marriage ceremony reward, so much men and women (talking from my possess private enjoy) provide coins for the marriage ceremony reward. Few will desire to stroll right into a reception w/ a wrapped reward so they are going to positioned a few coins or a assess in a card for the couple. If you do not like that concept you'll be able to move the reward certificates path. Find out wherein they're going on a honeymoon and get them a reward certificates for couples massages, to a exhibit or for a well dinner. Most men and women spend what the couple spent on their plate on the marriage ceremony (inside intent, if a pair has a $250/head marriage ceremony nobody is predicted to provide that a lot in go back). Between $50-$one hundred in line with character is correct if you'll be able to have enough money it.

Give her a gift certificate to a langerie/toy store. That way she can pick what she likes and it can still be considered personal. Try "Hearts" or "Fredericks of Hollywood". (both are online)

Get her something that she can hang on the wall. Or maybe a picture frame or something. That is something I would have loved to have gotten at mine.
