Another of the wonderful liberal lies.

Please research the draft in 2003/2004 and you will see that a bill to re-instate the draft was written by Charlie Rangle, a Democrat, and co-sponsored by 14 other Democrats. The bill failed.

Yet, it was a Democrat talking point in the 2004 election that the President wanted to re-instate the draft.

I hate to say that anything is out of the realm of possibility these days. Perhaps if the U.S. was in such a crux with a larger multi-front conlict such as war with Iraq, Iran, and or North Korea. Hopefully that never comes to fruition, but stranger things have happened in the course of history. There is a definite need for more enlistments right now and the military just increased the maximum enlistment age to 42, so they are getting a little more lax just to fill the ranks.

The US Military Drafting program exists in the cloaked form of Selective Services. When US citizens turn age 18, they are required by law to register with Selective Services else face a penalty of $250,000 or 6 months imprisonment, or both.

No, before this would happen the military would go to full mobilization and call up all the reserves to full time troops. Their is no risk of a draft (the navy and Air Force are kicking people out!)

I don't think so because the politicians most likely won't be able to keep their children out of the draft.

If we end up in a situation where we need a draft, then yes. I would hope that it wouldn't come to that, but of course it's a possibility, especially with the Iran situation.

Then again, we have Israeli soldiers who would willingly fight for us!

Screw the voters, the military won't stand for it. There won't be a draft, trust me. Hurry & sign up now, why wait!
