What does it mean if you tell a guy you like him, and his only response is- "Yeah, I figured," and then the conversation is picked up where it left off? I know he has about as much experience in this field as me (a little less than none) but does "Yeah, I figured" translate into- "that's nice, I am not interested but I am to nice to say so," or "yeah, me too, but I am too shy to say"? I tried to press the subject, but I did not get very far with him. Any ideas?

That reaction is kinda weird, it could be either one. I think you should just try to build up the courage to ask him "do you like me?" you know, the direct approach. And before you say "Suuure easy for you to say" well it is and if I had to do it with someone I know then I'd probably die of a heart attack. So just TRY to build up some courage to ask him. I would say that he proably doesn't like you. But play it cool. Just tell him to forget about what you told him the other day, that you thought it over and decided that you two are better suited as friends. If he does like you then he will make his feeling known to you in some way in the future. But don't get your hope to high. Just be happy to have him as a friend.

if the conversion picked up almost immediately aft he made his comment, chances are he's interested in u only as a friend. or he could be trying ot hide his feelings.
how about asking him out for a walk in the park, then u hold his hand.. if he doesn't pull away ur r/s might juz work wonders.

Because Heavens Yeah sounds stupid ..I don't think the Hell is refering to Heaven/Hell What about when you say "What the hell?" I don't think that's refering to heaven/hell either. Hell has some other hidden meaning.

alrighty um i think it can be one of two things.
1- he isn't interested.
2- he is but since he's a boy he's got to make things complicated.
my advice...
1- just be friends with the dude, but if things feel awkward just forget him and move on.
2- simply ask him if he likes you. what do you have to lose? he already knows that you like him so yeah. =]

Well... what do you want him to say?
Are you mad because he didn't give you a particular answer you were looking for?
Did you ask... "How do you feel about me?"
Look... "Yeah--- I figured"... probably means that it was obvious to him that you had feelings... It's not a bad thing. It could be that he is not attracted to you... or he's not ready to alter your relationship.

wow, that kinda rude if u ask me. id just lay off - if he likes u he'd call and ask u out bc he knows that he likes u now, u made it crystal clear. plus if hes gonna be rude like that, then id leave him alone anyways - who says stuff like that?
