Because the Bible states that God worked the miracle with the stick and snake but God does not claim any miracles around evolution.

Ask any Christian, and chances are they will say, "The Bible says it, I believe it, and that's that!" Thus, they can believe in fairy tales and folk stories of Balaam's talking donkey, or a clever talking snake in a garden, or the sun standing still, or a long-haired hippy Jewish fellow walking on water and feeding thousands with 5 loaves of bread. Oddly enough, they won't believe in Santa Claus, the Easter Bunny, or the Great Pumpkin--but only because they're not in the Bible! If they were, you can be certain they'd be vehemently proclaiming the truth of Santa Claus, declaring that if you believe hard enough, he really WILL come down your chimney and leave presents under the tree. Has anyone ever seen him do this? Well, no, but that's because they don't have enough faith! And so on....
Btw, evolution is not something to 'believe" in, it is a natural phenomenon that is provable by scientific research and archeological discoveries. One can no more believe in evolution than one believes that the Earth revolves around the sun, or that gravity keeps us on the ground. Facts do not require belief; religion does, because it cannot offer any proof whatsoever for its wild claims.

It's not the Theory of Evolution that I debate as a Cristian. And it's the premise that we must behave like soulless animals, that Christ challenges. All of Darwins theories were based on the observation, that all species compete, and the most survivable dominate their competition to the point of extinction.
Survival of the Fittest crosses a line between science and religion. That applies to Heisenhooies Uncertainty Theory too. Talk about a parody religion! Through in a random generator, a Prime Directive, and a few Laws of Robotics, and you have a Doctrine to stack on your Dogma of Materialism.

I do believe in evolution. Just not the theory of evolution. Evolution is easily proved. People have evolved throughout the years, as well as animals and plants. I also believe in God though. Evolution is not false, instances of it are easily identifiable, but to believe that all life started from a single celled organism is out there. Even compared to what Christians believe.....

How can anyone believe in evolution when it is clearly a THEORY!
Come on, you think turning a stick into a snake is less believable than all of sudden, out of no where, poof! There was an explosion. OK, where or who created the energy to cause the explosion that became life. You know, God is the creator. God spoke and it was so. God is so powerful my friend, that when he spoke to create the universe, I am sure there was an explosion! And explosion of greatness.

To correct you, we dont believe in wizards or men walking on water. Jesus was not merely a man. The bush was not talking, God was. Also, you cannot prove they are fictional, since you were not there to witness them.
Also, not all christians dont believe in evolution.
Not all people who dont believe evolution are christian.

The Bible was written by men inspired by the Spirit of Living God. everything contained therein is and was a direct result of God's Providence in action. Evolution wasn't.

coz it says so in the bible....that's why most Christians believe it. but not in evolution. i am a Christian, and i still have trouble understanding many things. i would prefere to be ignorant in my Christianity. such things are not important, (just MY opinion) what is important is love family mercy grace friends and to be the best you can be. too many theories not enough of 'basic what really IS important." guess if i get bored enough then i'll get interested and research....otherwise....i don't care either way...all i know is there is a God and He is love.

Hi,
You must be the missing ape scientists have been searching but in vain for you have no brain to understand the miracles of God. And also that you can believe in the far fetched story that you came from monkeys but cant see the fact that from only a droplet of sperm you grow up to be human.

LoL!
So true... so true...
Christians are ignorant, arrogant and self-righteous - they aren't ALL like that, but I've only met one who isn't. I've only met one Christian who would acknowledge my ideas and could be happy to agree to disagree with me and didn't just shove scriptures down my throat.
And the bible is NOT a history book. While there are historical facts within it - there is a lot written in the bible that should be taken metaphorically instead of literally. Speaking as a former Christian, I think the whole religion is just one big cult.
