yeah, that's precisely why I can't stand it when someone says 'hate the sin, love the sinner' it's ridiculous (i'm a christian). we should leave the judging to God, the job He gave to us was just to love, not to judge.

Why be offended? As I am a Christian, I am sure there are many who would not find me offensive, except for my stance as a Christian. Just as I do not find many people offensive except for their lack of stance as a Christian. It doesn't change how I treat them, or what I expect of a relationship that I may choose to build with them as friends. It just probably means we'll talk little about Christianity, or a whole lot about it! And hopefully in the process both learn a whole lot.

No not at all. All we need is love. We dont need an organization to tell us what is right or wrong because organizations are created by man and there is allways some egotistical prick that insists they no it all and uses ignorant people to spread there propaganda for further power. we all need to throw this race and nationality idea out and realize that we are all born people not citizens already enrolled into an evil organization we know nothing about. we need to start caring about other people besides are friends and familys and realize that people are not born a certain way people are made a certain way by other people whom have there own greedy agenda. the word worship has been completely distorted over the years by organized religion. worship is not bowing down and admitting god is better than any of us its appreciating all the wonderful things god has given us on this world and also realizing that we have been created in his own image which we can chose to realize or ignore. murder is wrong and no one can put any value on a fellow humans life like our country is doing now no gasolene that comes from a place we were never meant to go is ever worth a human life. dosent anybody wonder why all cold fusion projects have been shut down. the greedy filty and dirty polititions that claim they are helping us would lose there power and control over us. most people dont know to keep an open mind and be an individual and that we can fight the future through the use of knowledge and non violent methods lets turn the evil against its self remember the hard way is usually the right way and pays of greatly when we will all have to meet our maker and as black sabbath would say no more war pigs have the power hand of god has struck the hour just because its the law dosent mean its right and just because its written in a book dosent mean its right either havent text books been used in the past for evil people to gain power through propaganda whos to say the bible hasnt been tampered with over the years to keep the greedy in power i mean hey remember how many times the goverment went back and forth and said eggs were bad for you and eggs were good for you and then bad for you again they dont know and its because people are fallible and anyone who claims they know the exact right religion is obviously full of crap god wants nothing more than his work to be appreciated and for all of us to show love and compassion for each other ppppffffew no that that rants done i can go to bed now just havent been able to get that off my mind with the people whom are in charge of countries in the world now because its seems america just may be the great satan if we look at satan as greedy and selfish and wanting something for nothing it dosent work like that and money and things arent real anyways the only real thing in this world is pure fair equal love for someone whom you care about more than you care about yourself

As a Christian I could get offended but I'm actually not. There are so many people with different types of Christianity that I can embarassed about their version and yes, their version can be detestable. We used to be involved in motorcycling a lot and then my husband wanted to be involved in a Christian version. Some of the people involved in that embarassed me but others really amazed me. The things they went through in their lives really spoke to me about how life changing their faith was to them. So, yes I can see what you're saying.

Only in the sense that they would be equating Christianity with sin. I get the spirit of what you are saying. I do believe we should have love and concern for each other.
God loves us unconditionally, even though salvation is conditional upon our accepting it.
I guess it would really depend on how it was said to me and what I thought the person intended by it.

No, if they practiced that tenet. Unfortunately, too many Christians say that but don't follow through. If you and I got along great and you hated Christianity in general and loved me, that would require a truce - you couldn't bad mouth my religion and I couldn't berate you for you lack thereof. Could you really do that? Hate the religion and still love the person??? It's not that simple...

No, because they are making a choice...because life is about choice. But let's get real here...we are talking about a habit or lifestyle, not a faith. Would you tell someone who is Jewish, I love you but I hate your Jewishness? Would you tell a Muslim I love you but I hate Muslim? Perhaps in this world, such as it is, it has come to this after all. When only a few decades back faith was embraced and admired...now faith is downgraded to something out of a back alley to some...but not all faith, mostly Christianity. Ask yourself why you feel that way, then seek a way to understand.

I think stpolycarp77 said it best, "it is the Christianity in someone that would make it possible for you to love the person in the first place."

No I am not offended by your statement.
There are aspects of Christianity (Christendom if you wish) that I do not think very highly of. The Christian God however I hold in high esteem.
I used to be an atheist. Over a period of time however, I grew convinced of the existence of the Christian God, and ultimately committed my life to Christ (e.g., see http://www.godsci.org/gs/chri/testimony/seek.html ).

i am not offendedby this statement, because i think the whole thing is not being looked at corectly. see the thing is --true christianity is a christian. theres no person left in them besides their christianity we "die to ourselves and live for Christ." us christians do not look at people who sin as a big nasty lump of sin. we see a person that has sin in their life. and as a christian i am supposed to love every person-- christians and sinners. this love for everyone is what draws people to Christ and salvation. now this does not mean that i approve of sin nor am i supposed to look the other way, but i still love the sinner in hopes that they will come to know the lord. and i still condemn the sin.
