In regards to your question. Keep in mind that those who follow Christianity are still people. In my entire life, I have never met anyone who is perfect. The way a person behaves towards others is often due to previous experience with a similar type of person. (for example: If a store clerk is robbed at gun point by several black males, that clerk is more likely to be concerned when a black male enters his store in the future.)
The Bible teaches us to love everyone, but this does not mean we have to accept and like a lifestyle that someone else has chosen. As imperfect beings, we are hopelessly going to display emotion towards a lifestyle that we may view as inappropriate. All we can do is pray for strength and forgiveness in overcoming our sins.

Why do you believe they are full of hatred? Is it because they actually stand for something and don't back down? Is it because they talk about whats wrong in the world and don't accept it? You know I"ve never heard Billy Graham ever say he hated a person.

Because they're hypocrites. They preach love to everybody, yet hate gay people because there a couple of obscure references to them in a book written by a bunch of guys a couple thousand years ago....

Any One True Faith is going to splinter off, form different sects, and begin to antagonize one another. There is only One True Faith after all, so how can two slightly different views be the Right One?

Because they are confused about their religion, but want to seem like they know what they are talking about. Most of the people who continually harp on and on about god and jesus are basically uneducated in religion.

Because they don't actually read their Bible and get all the parts about "Love your neighbor as yourself"...they just listen to their legalistic pastor who promotes christian activism (marching in front of abortion clinics) and interference in and judgement of other people's lives.
