You need to drink lots of water. If you are that sore, then you must be sweating it out by the buckets! Also, plain water is not the best. Drink something that balances your electrolyets, like Gatorade or some similar product. If you don't want to go broke buying Gatorade, make your own. Just mix Kool-Aid or whatever brand you prefer (non-sweetened) with 1/2 cup sugar and 1/2 tsp salt. This replaces what your body loses during the workout. I would recommend drinking 1 liter of water for every hour you are working out, and following up with one liter of Gatorade and continued water until bed. Also, keep water by your bedside and drink it regularly when you wake up at night (to turn over or to get up and go to the bathroom). Doing these things will prevent your body from getting too dehydrated from the work out and will rebalance your electrolytes. Also, do not strenuously work out the same muscle groups 2 days in a row. This does more harm than good as the muscle does not have time to repair and grow between workouts. DO however stretch the muscles thoroughly and make sure that you do not "nurse" them the next day. Stretching a couple times throught the day, combined with your normal activity, will help to release the lactic acid from the muscles as quickly as possible. The less you drink and the more you "nurse" the muscle, the longer you will be sore. Finally, eat banans and raisins as your snacks. These are high potassium fruits and will help to prevent muscle cramps, especially at night. I learned all these things the hard way when I began working out. I hope what I have learned helps you!

Stretch before AND AFTER. That should help loosen you up. Also, don't revert back to inactivity right after a work out. You need a cool down period so take a walk - go to the mall - something instead of parking it in front of the TV. If that doesn't work, take a nice long bath with a half cup of epsom salt.

it type of feels to be a tremendous spread fallacy that in case you do not wade through from soreness the subsequent day or 2 after preparation you have not educated confusing adequate and could no longer get consequences. this heavily isn't the case. see you later as you enhance the tension or load on a muscle crew they ought to reply through starting to be more suitable. muscle mass tissue does ought to tear as a thanks to fix itself with further tissue to extend the muscle length yet there would no longer be noticeable soreness even as this happens.

That soreness you are feeling is from tiny tares in the muscle fiber caused by exercise. When the muscle fiber is repaired it is made stronger….this is why muscles get stronger the more you exercise. How to u get your body to make these repairs? Sleep, it’s the only time it happens. Sleep after a workout and you’ll be good to go

after your workout (assuming you lift heavy), your muscle fibers are torn. if you don't get enough protein and sleep, your muscle won't be able to repair itself. so make sure you get protein (especially right after workout) and sleep at least 8 hrs that night.

of course, when you first start working out, you can eat plenty of protein and get plenty of rest but still feel sore for a few days. your body just isn't used to it. but it will get better...
