furniture is still in the same place. I don't know how to rearrange it to look good. And I have way too much of it. Can anyone give me any tips?!?!?!

Ok- take absolutely everything out. Then, put back in what you absolutely have to have. Then, with those things in mind, create a color scheme that goes with the walls, since you want to keep that. Say for instance that you have a green room, then maybe you can make some pillows or table runners, curtains or decoupage coordinating items that have that color in them, but have different patterns. A real popular thing right now is to make rag tie pillows and throw blankets. All it takes is that polar tec fleece and you cut all around the sides and tie the strips, you can get instructions from any fabric shop. The material is pretty cheap, and you can make pillows, too. A new thing I tried is decoupage on my walls. I have a bedroom with an Asian theme and printed off some Asian tapestries off the Internet. I bought decoupage glue- a lot like Elmer's glue and glued one tapestry on the wall on either side of my headboard. After it was dried, I painted what looked like brown string to make it look like it was really hanging! It turned out great, and only cost me the cost of my ink, and the decoupage glue (about 4.00). A rug can liven the room up, or you can paint the floor - you can use painter's tape to make grid lines and patterns. One thing I have noticed on those DIY makeover shows is that many times they place furniture in the center of the room to invite conversation, rather than along the walls, which places people too far apart. Just an idea. Good Luck and have fun with it!

Why don't you move the furniture to different places?
Then you can change your curtains and bed clothe, your rugs and remove all pictures from the walls, replacing them with big plants; the use of a stand lamp with bright colours on the frame is a very "bright" idea...
Have you thought of changing the colour of the ceiling? A very bright white reflects all the light and makes the room very ...alive.

When you decide what to do, let us know (if you wish); it's good to exchange ideas...
Good luck!

The goal of any room arrangement is to create a simple grouping of furniture pieces that work towards the room's purpose. When each element is in its place and in harmony with all the other elements, you experience the room as welcoming and livable.

if you have to much furniture.....try to give away some or take out from you room and put it somewhere else....or add another room to your house and make it a rest area, like a coffee room, a sun room, a library room....etc.....and make it more pleasant for yourself to read, sleep, rest and relaxing moments....if you like the painting keep it that way, or make minor changes like a two color wall or glazed it......if you need help on rearranging the room email me at israelmoya20@yahoo.com
