I keep hearing things... like people calling my name. what could this be? and Im not on drugs!

it just sounds like my mom saying my name... calling me to come do something.

if you seriously are hearing people call your name and no one is their i think you need to talk to someone I'm not saying your crazy or anything but maybe your just really stressed out in your life and your having a hard time coping with some things I'm sure your fine but to be safe you should seek some help Maybe if you talk with someone it will help ease your mind and or get on some medication that will.

Ha ha ha.... I hear that sometimes!!
It's really distinct and sounds exactly like someone calling your name, huh?
I get it sometimes when I'm just about to fall asleep... like it's right in my ear or something. Scares the cr@p outta me!
My sister thinks I'm crazy, but I'm gonna show her this!! LOL
EDIT:
I usually get it when I'm stressed - I haven't had it lately because my stress levels are down.
I don't believe it is a sign of mental illness!
I think it happens because I am so adjusted to hearing my parents or one of my bro's or sis's calling my name, that sometimes I imagine it!
(Or sometimes I hear a noise and it SOUNDS like that person calling my name.)

assuming it is NOT really your mom leaving u a message in your answering machine, Auditory hallucinations are relatively common.
You do need to make an appointment with a psychiatrist.
These problems are very treatable.

lol Its not just you, I hear that kinda stuff all the time. I see wierd stuff too.

lol i think we all get that here and there i remember i use to hear random stuff like people screaming and i hear stuff when im trying to get to bed but that happens like once a year

I understand. It could be psychosis, psychotic depression, skitzo, stress.. i'm trying to answer that question myself, i hope you find your answer, and if you do let me know

It might be that you're under a lot of stress.That's what my psychiatrist told me.
