Most say no, the Bible doesn't say that Christians must partake of the Lord's supper every Sunday. A small minority say yes.
I go to a Church of Christ, and I don't know if it is the case where folks believe that we are commanded to do it every Sunday or that we do it because it is good to do so.
Those that say yes point to Acts 20:7 as indicating it should be done every Sunday ("Now upon the first day of the week, when the disciples came together to break bread . . . ."). But, again, the vast majority don't see any explicit teaching on how often.
A good article on this is at:

There are those out there who say the Lord's Supper should be observed annually because the first Lord's supper was at Passover time and Passover comes once a year. I think this is way off. The Lord's Supper is in rememberance of Jesus, not in rememberance of passover. And Jesus said "as often as you will," not "at the same frequency as Passover comes."

Although the issue is not addressed in the Bible, Jesus and his Apostles observed the Lord's supper annually, and that is why it should be observed annually by copying them.
As far as taking the emblems (the unleavened bread and the wine), that is supposed to be taken only by those of the 144,000 group who make it to Heaven to be kings and priests with Jesus, His Bride class of people. Any people of the Other Sheep or Great Crowd should only pass the emblems and not partake because it is a sin to partake if you are not worthy of partaking.
There is a lot more to be learned about that, but in short, Jesus observed the Passover once per year, and Christians should celebrate the Lord's Supper or The Lord's Evening Meal once per year at the time of Passover on the Hebrew Calendar on Nisan 14 which falls in March and sometimes in April due to the difference in the numbering of the days in a year.

Hello,
This issue is not specifically addressed in Scripture. Christ said that we are to "do this in remembrance of me". Some churches only have communion once a quarter which I personally feel is not adequate. Once a week would be great but most other denominations do not do that unless you go to a Missouri Synod Lutheran Church that has communion every other Sunday.
There is also not a rule about what day of the week you can have communion.
To me this is kind of a sad issue because so many denominations do not recognize the importance of Communion. I feel that it is a backlash against Catholicism that has communion every time they meet.

It isn't, really. Since most Protestant religions trace their roots back to Catholicism, some of their extrabiblical traditions take root. One of these is the "Lord's Supper", or communion, taken weekly. The Church of Christ has it right when it comes to the message of the Lord's Supper (a remembrance of Christ's sacrifice of his body and blood) but I believe is mistaken in it's assertion that it must be taken weekly.

It was on the evening before his death that Jesus observed his last Passover meal and afterward instituted the Lord’s Evening Meal. Even before the Memorial meal began, the traitorous Judas was sent out, at which time, according to the record, “it was night.” (Joh 13:30) Since the days of the Jewish calendar ran from evening of one day to evening of the next, the Lord’s Evening Meal was celebrated also on Nisan 14, on Thursday evening, March 31.—See DAY.
According to Luke and Paul, when instituting the Memorial of his death Jesus said: “Keep doing this in remembrance of me.” (Lu 22:19; 1Co 11:24) From this it is reasonable to understand that Jesus meant that his followers should celebrate the Lord’s Evening Meal annually, not more often. The Passover, observed in remembrance of Jehovah’s deliverance of Israel from Egyptian bondage in 1513 B.C.E., was commemorated only once a year, on the anniversary date of Nisan 14. The Memorial, also an anniversary, would appropriately be held only on Nisan 14.

No; not on the first day of the week.
The scripture is in Lev.23:5 = "In the fourteenth day of the first month(April) at even is the Lord's Passover." (month of Abib)
Exodus 13:4,10 = "This day came ye out in the month of Abib. Thou shalt therefore keep this ordinance in his season from year to year."
1Cor.11:20-22 (continued to 1Cor.11:23-26)= "When ye come together therefore into one place, this is not to eat the Lord's supper. For in eating every one taketh before other his own supper: and one is hungry, and another is drunken. What? have ye not houses to eat and drink in? or despise ye the church of God, and shame them that have not? What shall I say to you? shall I praise you in this? I praise you not."
Matt.26:19, 26, 27 = "And the disciples did as Jesus had appointed them; and they made ready the Passover. And as they were eating, Jesus took bread, and blessed it, and brake it, and gave it to the disciples, and said, Take, eat; this is my body. And he took the cup, and gave thanks, and gave it to them, saying, Drink ye all of it."
Luke 22:1,7,8,19,20 = "Now the feast of unleavened bread drew nigh, which is called the Passover. Then came the day of unleavened bread, when the Passover must be killed. And he sent Peter and John, saying, Go and prepare us the passover, that we may eat. And he took bread, and gave thanks, and brake it, and gave unto them, saying, This is my body which is given for you: this do in remembrance of me. Likewise also the cup after supper, saying, This cup is the new testament in my blood, which is shed for you."
The dates are April 12, 2006; April 2, 2007; April 19, 2008; April 8, 2009; March 29, 2010; April 18, 2011; April 6, 2012.
When you partake of the Lord's Supper; it has to be in the evening of these dates. For example: April 11, 2006--when the sun goes down.

i imagine the church of Christ takes those verses too actually. It does say they met on Sunday to break bread notwithstanding it not in any respect says everywhere they met each Sunday to break bread. The church of Christ has further that section out of habit and luxury. With that stated, I do take it weekly yet no longer because I even ought to... yet because this is accessible and the Bible says as "usually" as you try this (which leads me to believe i might want to do it each day if I wanted) you keep in recommendations me. So i attempt to do it always (i have even finished it at my domicile with my kin). Be blessed!

Jesus said "Whenever",
Remember me!
1 Cor. 11.23-26
For I received from the Lord what I also passed on to you: The Lord Jesus, on the night he was betrayed, took bread,
And when he had given thanks, he broke it and said, "This is my body, which is for you; do this in remembrance of me."
In the same way, after supper he took the cup, saying, "This cup is the new covenant in my blood; do this, whenever you drink it, in remembrance of me."
For whenever you eat this bread and drink this cup, you proclaim the Lord's death until he comes.
So, everyday, or once a month, "Whenever"!

Maybe in the Mosaic law it said something about that, however weekly communion is not necessary for salvation.
