There is nothing that God has planned that will not occur? If God has planned it and has decided it, then what come may ~ it will surely take place. So, all those that Jesus died for, will eventually be saved. All those that Jesus was sent to redeem with his blood, they will be redeemed ~ not one of them will be left out. Also, all those that God wants to be in Heaven, if the way is through Jesus ~ then they will come to Jesus. And if God has decided to save them, there is nothing that anyone, even themselves can do to hinder the purpose of God concerning their lives. We can even go to the extreme and say, God makes them willing and capable of obeying him ~ for the sake of what he has planned.

Is there anything out of place above?

Pretty much all of it! Predestination? So, your God already knows where and what will happen, from the beginning of time, through eternity, right? So if that's true, what's all the noise about when it comes to praying, begging forgiveness for something that was "predestined" by HIM to happen anyway? How can you be predestined and still have free choice? Sounds like an oxymoron to me!!! AND, the all powerful creator of Heaven and Earth, kicked back with a bowl of popcorn and a diet soda while they crucified His one and only Son, but destroyed the earth with a flood because the "predestined" people that He populated it with, stopped worshiping Him? Sounds pretty narcissistic to me. Common sense tell me that if you build something, and it doesn't work the way you want it to, you don't just leave it as it is.....you fix it. It's either that, or you're saying that God is fallible, because He screwed up when he gave man Free Choice? Oh! Wait! Predestination! We don't have free choice do we? You can't have it both ways sparky! Is there anything out of place? Yeah! The whole concept.

If God has planned it, it will take place! That’s why God is God! Ephesians 1:5, 11 says God has predestined the saints to be adopted by Him and to have an inheritance. Those things will take place because God has planned it. Therefore, we need to ask what God’s plan is concerning salvation. God’s plan is NOT: whoever Jesus died for will be saved. Instead, His plan is: whoever believes will be saved. I read that in John 3:16. This plan is possible because Jesus’ death paid for the sins of all men, not just certain men. Through this brilliant plan, God chooses who will and who won’t be saved, not according to an unchangeable fate that was planned long ago, but “according to the foreknowledge of God.” (I Peter 1:2)

Well, there's a lot that is NOT stated, and so the above might be construed as only one half of the equation.

One important missing component is that God has not only ordained the ends, but the MEANS as well, and that the means of personal salvation that God ordained is personal, actual faith and trust in the cognitive facts of the Gospel, demonstrated by submission and obedience to Jesus Christ and all He has commanded.

The statement you're give above majors upon the sovereign decree of the Father, but fails to properly articulate the effectual work of the Son, the application by the Spirit, and personal responsibility and accountability of individual human beings.

Remember, 2 Thessalonians describes salvation as obeying the Gospel.

I'd say I can pretty much agree with all of that. Not too many people believe in predestination anymore...even though it's all over the bible. They chose to ignore those parts and like to hold on to their belief in free will and that they have the abiltity to chose God or not. But even the bible states that no one comes to the father but by Him. And if God wants all to be saved and some aren't, then does that mean that their free will is strong than God's will?

Yes, God did not have to use Jesus to do any of the above. That is a purely Christian view.God is great enough to facilitate all present past and present. Knows the future.

Yes, the entire concept of faith. If it's up to god, then it doesn't matter what you do or don't do, including whether or not you have faith. If something is required on your part, then it's simply payment for services rendered rather than a free gift.

Gee!!!Thats really a tough question to answer. Just listen to your conscience and promptings of the Spirit. I think you will not go wrong which ever way you choose to believe. Remember" do not grieve the Holy Spirit".

That is correct according to the book of mythology. The only way prophecy can work is if humans have no free will. And events are already fixed.

God can plan something but that does not mean we always follow his plans. If we all followed all of God's plans, no sins would ever be commited and we would all be going to heaven. unfortunitly, its not like that.
