My opinion on that is that people should volunteer as often as they are able due to work responsibilities, family responsibilities, and their health because God loves a cheerful giver not giving under compulsion.
Volunteering makes you feel good too, so I would say as often as they are able.

As often as possible, esp around holidays....look into volunteering as maybe a foster parent,or grandparent...I know a lady who does this and loves it...
or volunteer as a foster-child,at a nursing home....for some people who may not have family near,or have no family left....Volunteering makes you feel good and others around you....
or at a homeless shelter....
just a few ideas....

A person should volunteer for any projects or charities that they feel passionately about or that they are interested in. You should only volunteer if your heart is in it and if you have the time and entergy to follow through.

As often as they can without giving up their everyday responsibilities, and the world would be a better place.

seven times a week, 365 days a year. Someone onces stated that each day in our life, we should spare a little time to help someone. Unfortunately it is not always like this since we are too busy with our schedules
