I read and continue to reaad the bible with a VERY open mind so that GOD can teach me through his Holy Spirit.
This was just a challenge to those blasphemers to expose them.
Let GOD be TRUE and EVERY man a liar!

When God breathed into Adam the breath of life and he became a living soul, God was doing the first human creative work. This in no wose touches on the subject of babies being or not being alive until they breathe for the first time.

Instructions on abortion?? I never read THAT in the Bible! The Bible doesn't mention or describe abortion, to my knowledge, but it is pretty obvious that fetuses, babies, and very young children were not worth as much as adults. There is one Mosaic commandment stating that if a man hits a woman, causing her to miscarry, the offender is to pay her husband a sum of money. He is not executed for murder, as he would be for killing an adult, and we can thus conclude that the death of a fetus did not equate with the death of a person already born. Adults probably were valued more than the very young because they could work, earn an income, and/or reproduce, thus contributing to society...whereas babies and children were dependent on society.

Psalm 137:9 Happy shall he be, that taketh and dasheth thy little ones against the stones.

That's in a song of mourning and remembrance for the days before the Jews' captivity in Babylon. The singer was rejoicing that Babylonian babies would be smashed against the rocks--hardly the attitude of one who believed in the sanctity of infant life. Strange, that a kind, loving God would accept such a hideous song as his rightful due. I find it repulsive.

Consider, also, the numerous stories in which God wontonly slaughters hundreds and thousands, the innocent along with the guilty. Sodom and Gomorrah did not consist only of sinful adults. Did the children and babies in those cities deserve to be burned to death? Nobody with an ounce of compassion would say "yes," yet God did it without a sign of remorse. Apparently, young ones just didn't matter.

In the flood story, God destroys EVERY living thing on Earth, and that would include children, babies, and pregnant women. What had those fetuses done to deserve mass execution? Nothing, but that didn't matter to God, who snuffed out their lives as you might step on ants. God did not consider their lives to be sacred or special.

There are many others, which I'm sure you're aware of. Anyone claiming that God thinks fetal or infant life is sacred, will have to address these cases where God clearly thinks otherwise, since he doesn't hesitate to kill them all. He gave 613 laws to Moses, and not a one offers non-adults any rights or protections.

You will not find the word abortion in the Bible. Try rereading the Bible without bias and pay attention to the message, not the words. You will find many references to what you say does not exist. By the way, why do you classify people who have opinions different than your own as idiots? Yes, you may have read the Bible seven times but your opinions were predetermined before you opened the first page. Am I in favor of abortion? No I am not. However, I would not classify you as an idiot simply because your opinion differed from mine. Look up Galileo. You would have fit well with his adversaries.

umm.. its exodus 21:22-23
its not about supporting abortion, but the verse states that the value of the mother is worth more than that of the child.

theres another verse that tells that life begins at birth, when the first breath is drawn.. genesis 2:7 or thereabouts... i cant remember

the instructions on aborting a fetus are not in any recognized bible, i mean outside of having a pregnancy terminated by a beating, there was however included for a short time explanations of the sacred herbs, some of which could not be handled by women, due to them being abortifacients. which i suppose could be instruction.

Leviticus doles out punishments for injuries to pregnant women that result in losing a pregnancy. I'm guessing that's what they're referring to. The Bible also equates life with blood, which doesn't exist in an embryo prior to the 2nd week, so it might be that.

..or perhaps they are referring to 2 King.15:16 ?

ok forgive me ....unfortuantly this really has nothing to do with the question...becuase id ont beleive it says anythign about it in the bible either way for or against....a fetus is jsut that a fetus no life yet just divided cells....could turn into a deformed blob rather than a baby....who knows...most abortions happen in such early stages there is not even true life yet no heart no brain just cells.

I heard from someone that in the Old Testament God, at one point, killed a bunch of pregnant women and as a result the babies died.

sounds to me like a misinterpretation of Saul's behaviour in Acts ch. 7-8 before his Damascus Road experience.

Couldn't tell you where, but I believe that you could find whatever you wanted in the Bible if you look hard enough.
