Steely Dan is comming to St. Louis in September. I love their music. Do Walt and Don sound good live?

I saw Steely Dan in Mountainview, CA. about 10 years ago, and they were fantastic. They change backup musicians on a regular basis, but they are always excellent. They do charge an awful lot for tickets. If money is not an object, definitely go. I'm on a pretty tight budget but I would pay $50.00 to see Steely Dan, no more. Usually $25.00/show is my limit, but Steely Dan is and always has been one of my favorite bands, so I make an exception. I think their best work was their earlier work: for example the albums Aja and Goucho.

Yes Steely Dan is definitely worth the price of admission.

They sound great live but .... they tend to alter the song arrangement for the live show so it may not sound the way it did on the CD. If you can hang with that you ought to consider giving it a shot.
