I have naturally curly hair. When it dries (blow dried or not), its really poofy. Is there i can have my hair look curly without putting any sprays or gels or chemicals?

I have the exact same hair type! The best product I found is Frizz Ease Dream Curl - It cost about $5 at Walmart or Target. This product is the only thing that feels natural, not heavy, stiff or sticky. I just spay it on my damp hair, scrunch it alittle, and let air dry. You can even go the next day without starting over by just respraying and scrunching. Good luck!

First of all you need a good cut, something with layers. Second you should be using good shampoo, try paul mitchel awpuhie, and the conditioner. The real key is in the product you use after. I use Palmers coconut oil hair conditioner. You don't need to use much, usually a dime sized amout or less depending on length. Never brush your hair unless it's wet and even then only once a day. Stay away from hairspray and mousse that will make your hair crunchy. Stick with products that are mostly natural and don't be afraid to spend a little money.

Curly hair tends to have more shine-reducing short pieces and split ends. This becomes really noticeable when it's blown straight.

HOW TO

• Use a moisturizing shampoo and conditioner and a straightening gel. Detangle with a wide-tooth comb.

• As you blow-dry, wrap 2" sections around a round brush to straighten.

• Apply a finishing cream from 1" below the roots to the ends.

• To get super-glossy curls: After conditioning hair, don't rinse completely -- leave a little in. Apply a gel to damp hair and twist sections around your fingers. Let hair dry naturally.

TRY

Charles Booth Milk & Honey Pure Cream Shampoo

TIP

Glossing sprays are great for boosting shine midday

i have naturally curly hair too, and to keep it from getting frizzy and poofy I shampoo once a week only and use a lot of conditioner every day. I also use a leave-in conditioner.
