Yes...!! If you are using chemical, yes, if you are using a straightening iron, you need that spray that you put on your hair before you use it. It's like a conditioner, but it's to protect the hair from splitting. You can get it in a salon. My daughter uses it. She used to have alot of split ends. Her hair was very long and she was always straightening it. she started using that spray and her hair is silky shiny and no split ends.

Use a Heat Defense product on your hair such as VO5 styling mist. and it really depends on the flat iron you use. the best flat iron ive ever bought was a T3. But their really explensive, around 200.00 bucks but its totally worth it. Makes your hair shiney, straight, and it doesnt scorch it!
