I'm dying to get ash blonde hair!

Yes, it does work on non-gray hair, but you might mant to try Clairol Natural Instincts for ash blonde hair. It doesn't cover gray very well, but since you don't have gray, It may be a good choice for you because it is more gentle than Loving Care.

Over the counter permanent hair color works great on any non processed hair. If your natural hair color is lighter than the shade you want you'll get it. If it is darker, for example, medium brown, you need a lighter version of the same color to get the desired result. If your hair has been colored before you will get a totally different result depending on the base of your last hair color. If you have permed bleached or relaxed you should not color your hair by yourself. Go to a professional.

It'll work just fine. It'd geared towards salt and pepper hair because it's so hard for them to get an even color. It will still, however, work on non-gray hair just fine.

I believe that Loving Care is a semi-permanent haircolor so it will only work if you are going darker than what you already have. Only a permanent haircolor can make hair lighter.
