Israel wants to occupying all of Palestinian lands. Remember the previous agreements between Palestinian and Zionists. They broke all of the agreements and occupied the lands step by step.
So don't wonder of Zionists acts, they abusing the opportunities that other countries are concentrated on them like Iraq, Afghanistan, etc. to killing and running out innocent unarmed Palestinian of their forefather lands. While Zionists occupied other lands like Gaza, they wasting the time (some years) to have discussion about these lands and usually they won't withdraw of lands. They want to attache all of Palestinian lands to previous occupied lands.

Israel should carpet bomb Gaza from the air, like a normal country would.
Israel always does ground operations in order to save lives of Arab non-combatants (remember Jenin in 2002?). By doing this, Israel winds up sacrificing their own boys in order to save lives the enemy.
This is nuts, and unprecedented in war. But then again, Israel can't come to terms with the fact that war is being waged against them.
In any case, the soldier being held, 19 year old Gilad Shalit, needs people's prayers right now.

No they are not over-reacting as that soldier (who is probably a young conscript) is most likely being tortured and mutilated.
If he was my brother, son, father, friend, I would want everything done to get him back in any way possible.
The message is that unless you want a tank parked on your front garden do not kidnap my soldiers, and stop supporting the fanatics who do.
If they knew where he was Special forces would have gone in already, but they clearly don't and every hour he is probably losing another body part.
I want to see justice for the Palestinian people (the people, not the terrorists) and for them to live in harmony with the Israelis who also have a right to be in their homeland, however I have no patience with people who harbor terrorists in their midst.

no they are not over reacting. It gives him hope that he will be rescued and it has to feel great knowing that your country cares enough about you to do this.
