I don't believe in either. Hell is already here on Earth. Sad but true, watch the news. As far as a reward at the end of the day, I believe we all meet up again on another plain. Just don't think it's the 'Christian' idea of Heaven. :)

Yes....but all of that is created on earth. If an afterlife exists, it will be a following on of what happened here.
We are animals...with a conscience. We dont know whether other beasts have a conscience too. Perhaps we just need to know that because we think/feel/create...that there is life after we pass on. Do any of us think that other animal species have ghosts? No....unless we think a loved pet lives on because of our thinking about it.
We know that many generations, before us, lived and died....can you imagine how many were strong spirited enough to live on and how few ghost stories there are?
Heaven and hell are what we use to quell pain or instill guilt. People dont like pain or knowing that our lives mean little in the scheme of things...we need to believe that we are. Our egos need to believe we are here....and that its for some purpose....or we would give up. ALL animals have a survival mode...ours is no different.
Hell and heaven is what we make, in the choices we make in our time on earth. My guess is most would love to be remembered...for a while at least after death. Some extreme characters do it in a good way, others cant find a good way so do it in the opposite....famous or infamous.
For the rest of us we just hope our kin will keep on going and remember or get our spirit down the track. Would be nice if we were reincarnated though? Like winning lotto again....

I believe that there is a heaven we eventually get to after our soul has perfected enough but I believe that hell is not real. Instead it was a dogmatic fear placed into people over thousands of years that helped to control them. I believe that our world good & bad is the closest thing we could compare to any "hell". The whole idea (to me)is just to survive this place and be good to others and we'll get to heaven someday. Just my opinion though.
