Definition:
1. outstanding skill: great skill or technique shown by somebody who excels at doing something, especially performing music
2. enjoyment of art objects: interest in, or knowledge and appreciation of, fine-art objects
The word virtuosity comes from the word "virtue", which refers to a good quality in someone : a quality that is morally good...but, with time "virtuosity" has become more associated with the performance of a musical instrument or an art, in the line that talent is a "virtue" that you bring when you are born.
I would say that any superb performance of art is virtuous in both ways: as a good thing (moral) for the soul and as a manifestation of the best we can be.

It is determined by other performers and listeners that place a value on the work of another. Virtuosity presents a value that is respected by others in that domain and hence can be used as a level of respect. Final determination is up to each individual in that field.

Well, at risk of sounding immodest, I am myself a guitar virtuoso. What is a virtuoso? He fears no piece of music, he can play anything. He has complete confidence in his ability to play whatever he chooses on the instrument. He has complete technical control over all the aspects of playing that are needed to perform music at the highest possible level. He makes it look easy to you. He is at the peak of his chosen art.

It means: MORAL GOODNESS. It means you have integrity because you live by a code of morals. It means people can COUNT on you. That you are a man of your word. It has a LOT of weight. It's something WORTHWHILE to achieve. You'll go farther in life with it than without it!
