I checked out all of the window tinting web sites and none of them offer front windshield tint/film.You will have to have factory or professional windshield installation only.
The closest I've seen are those 6" tints that have the model or make of the vehicle on the top portion of the windshield but laws vary from state to state for side and rear window tints/film.
I suggest you contact your local DMV and inquire on their laws and regulations.
I had a neighbor in CA that received a citation for too dark side and rear window tints eventhough he still had his TX license plates on the vehicle. He had a CA driver's license and was stationed in CA at the time. I think they also made him change his plates to CA.

Make sure it is legal in your area, some places restrict the use of the film on a windshield.

Yes, auto manufacturers already do this, and have been doing it for some time. Many auto manufacturers actually increase the amount of polarized material that they add from year to year to stay ahead of federal standerds. If you wish to attempt this yourself, you might call your local window tenting expert and ask about all the details. Good luck
