Long distance relationships can work, but it takes great patience and understanding on both partners part. If you two have been together for eight years I would say the odds for it working are in your favor. Communication is a key factor here now due to distance. You can do this.

I have been with my boyfriend for over 7 months. I live in Ohio and he lives in north Carolina. I have spent time with him 5 times since we started dating. The thing is with our relationship is he is in the army and will be over seas soon for a year. He's afraid to get to close in the relationship before he leaves because something could happen to him and he doesn't want me to be hurt. He's also afraid to come home and find out i'm with someone else. I told him that I love him and that I will wait for him. I guess my advice is if you truely care and love someone you will end up together. it just takes time and patience!! I'm happy just knowing that he wants to be with me, it's helps with the heart ache and it is all worth it when we are together. Good Luck!!!

As long as you love each other.. this love relationship should last.. It looks like you have a bit of mistrust with your boyfriend... Has be been acting differently or what? Trust and communication is the key word here. You couldn't stress this relationship anymore than it already is... Just keep in contact with him... send letters.. call him... see him more often at least every other month... Just hang in there...It could happen!! Keep the faith..

I believe that long distance relationships can work . If you have trust, communication and you both want to work. If you do not have a reason to doubt him why look for one.. I was in a long Distance relationship that did not work but I always wondered how he felt I never really knew. I guess that should have been my sign it would not work

it can but it's very difficult as both of you are meeting people every day. It takes a lot of committment. You guys really have to work on it if you want it.

first thing in a relationship is trust...if the trust element is in it, then there's no reason to doubt each other...if he doesn't turn out to b the guy that u want, then pick urself up and walk on with ur life
