Yes, cats can be trained. Most pet stores sell the kit with instructions on how to do it. The process is simple. You put the litter there, then gradually use less, until you're down to about a spoonful, then you start to add water instead. Takes a few months. Some people prefer to use a steel kitchen bowl that fits exactly in the toilet, with heavier kittens or cats, since the one at the pet store is flimsy plastic. You have to get a bowl that fits exactly, or is slightly too big, and has a rolled or bent edge to hang on the toilet.
Three quick tips. Do not teach the cat to flush. It gets expensive on the water bill if kitty decides it amuses him. Use flushable litter for training, because it will fall in the toilet. And do NOT do this if you tend to be an inattentive person. One big sign of urinary tract infection, a common thing in cats, is small clumps of litter, so you will not have that clue to tell you the cat is sick. You'll have to rely on frequent trips to the bathroom, and urgent meowing, to let you know something is wrong. And large clumps is usually the first sign of a diabetic cat, another sign you will not see if your cat uses a toilet, so your vet needs to know, and needs to test the cat as he/she sees fit.

convinced it really is real. i have heard of many people doing it because they couldn't stand the muddle getting everywhere, or they couldn't breathe in the smell of the waste or the dirt from the muddle it really is extremely very comparable to the technique for paying for a cat to drink out of its bowl extremely than the tap. It takes assorted time, and coaching. So doing it at the same time as someone isn't waiting to be abode in the course of the day and nighttime is illogical and also you heavily isn't waiting to precise practice the cat.

True. First you litterbox train her then You get a special litter box that hangs in the toilet. Then once she gets really used to it, you remove it and she'll just use the toilet. Dont think you can get them to flush though. I never have.

They can be. But not many are. If you can do this...consider youreslf very lucky or blessed. however you want to put it. I wish it were possible to train my cats. I hate the litterbox. But I have heard of cats being toilet trained. It's not that rare. Good luck with it. It must be one smart kitty and you must be one patient and determined person.
