i just pierced my navel on saturday. it is o.k so far i have been bathing it in warm water medicating it with rubbing alcohol and peroxide so it dont get infected and i rotate it ocassionally. Am i doing all the right things and is there any additional tips for me to follow.

You should be careful using peroxide and stuff, they tend to dry the area and make it crusty on the outside causing the ring to stick. I have always put a little aloe or vitamin e on the ring and rotate it so that some gets on the inside. I also clean it with a saline solution like ocean water. It contains small amounts of salt water and is sterile. It works really well. Have used these tips on all my piercings and have never got infections.

Keep doing what you are doing, two or three months after. Jeans, shorts, undies, all hit that spot and cause irratation, keep it clean with alchohol or peroxide. Once it is infected, jeans, shorts, and undies MAKE YOU MISERABLE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Keep it clean, it's worth the effort!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
