The Chinese actually eat swallow's saliva. It's pretty expensive as it's very labor-intensive --people have to climb up rocky cliffs (dangerous job) to get to the birds' nests to pick out the crystalliized saliva.

I ate roasted cockroach in thailand. Tasted good but my psyche told me to throw up but i didnt just out of respect for the locals. Silk worms have an appetizing taste. It's addictive! you should try it atleast once.
